Pollock Technique™ Circumcision at Gentle Procedures Brisbane
The Pollock Technique™ for circumcision uses a Mogen clamp. When using the Pollock technique a hemostat is used to separate the foreskin from the penis shaft. The foreskin is extended over the head of the penis (no incision required) and captured in a slot on the Mogen clamp to cut off blood flow to the foreskin. The clamp stays in place while the foreskin is cut away to eliminate any bleeding. Gentle Procedures Clinic is the only clinic to offer the Pollock™ Circumcision method in Queensland.
Our approach is faster than conventional methods and offers improved cosmetic outcomes with faster recovery times. All circumcision procedures use long and short acting local anaesthetic to ensure comfort during the procedure.
No Hospitalisation Staple technique for circumcision.
We have incorporated the Staple technique for circumcision. This technique uses a sheath that extends over the foreskin and with one click the foreskin is removed and the wound is closed with tiny staples. There are a number of factors that would determine the suitability of the staple circumcision technique, some of which are:
Prepuce and glans penis deformity (including prepuce and glans penis adhesion)
Prepuce and glans penis infection and edema
Suspected carcinoma of the penis
Patients who suffer from systemic disease (such as bleeding tendency hypoproteinemia, and serious CVD)

Safe and effective Vasectomy procedures
SNIPPED BUT STILL EQUIPPED ®
A Vasectomy is a safe and effective procedure that permanently prevents pregnancy. It involves a small incision in the scrotum, through which the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles. The procedure takes less than 30 minutes and most men are able to return to their normal activities within a couple of days. A Vasectomy can also provide peace of mind and freedom from the worry of unintended pregnancy.
The procedure itself takes 15 minutes, but we recommend allow 30 to 45 minutes on the day as you will have a consultation before the procedure commences and we want to ensure you are safe to discharge from our care.
Vasectomy FAQ's
Our no-scalpel Vasectomy is virtually painless.
If you have significant anxiety light sedation is available.
After a vasectomy you will likely be sore for a couple of days.
The discomfort is less with the our no-scalpel, no-needle technique because there is minimal injury to the tissues.
You can have sex after one week, but remember to use some other kind of birth control until your semen analysis confirms you are sterile and remember you do the test three months after a vasectomy.
No! The only thing that will change is that you will not be able to make your partner pregnant. Your body will continue to produce the hormones that make you a man. You will have the same amount of semen. Vasectomy won’t change your voice, beard, your muscles, your sex drive, your erections, or your climaxes!
